Summer Meadow in Maine

'Summer Meadow' 8x10 pastel
I am always on the lookout for a field filled with wildflowers and this one I came across one summer in Maine was the jackpot! There were flowers everywhere and the misty gray day only made them more beautiful.
I just found out the I made it into the Duane Wakeham workshop in May. It will be held in conjuction with the Southeastern Pastel Society's International Exhibition. The workshop participants were chosen by lottery and I usually don't have luck with things like that but I made it in! I will be excited to learn from Duane Wakeham. I attended one of his sessions at IAPS and took pages of notes...and that was just for a 3 hour session. This will be three days!

Thank you Jo! Yes, I am looking forward to the workshop. It's always nice to take advantage of good teachers when they are in town!
