Latest Wildflower Painting

'Reach for the Sky' 6x6 pastel
Here is the second painting from my underpainting 'marathon'. Once again for this one I used oil paint thinned with turpenoid and let it drip and make spider webs. I had some Queen Annes Lace photos to inspire me. Now I am working on a larger 16x20 wildflower painting.

The colors are so lovely in this painting. I can feel the summer breeze as it moves through the Queen Anne Lace.

Karen, Saw this on DPO and had to come over to your blog to see what your process was. I was sure it was a pastel! Your work is beautiful.

Mists, arrives, in breath of fine air, landing on pedals of light. Spoken in love, the only language, the remaining souls, to you in you visions, your view of us all on our way....home
