'Magic Hour' 8x10 pastelI've painted this beach in oil but I wanted to do a pastel version. This is Turner Beach (Blind Pass) on Sanibel Island. We come here for the sunset but I always like to turn away from the sun to see the warm glow on the sand, trees and water. It is also the best time of day to take nice family photos on the beach.

What a wonderful scene Karen! My wife attended a conference there once...the photos she brought back were so beautiful...just like this!

Thanks David & Miki. I was trying to find the best combination of colors to make up wet sand.Pastels are great for that!
