I finally had a chance to paint from some of my New Mexico trip photos. This is actually the second painting I did of the same scene. I did three versions each one using a different technique. For this painting I did a value underpainting/turpenoid wash. I will be posting the others. If you are familiar with the Taos area, this is on the way to Arroyo Seco. It was a stormy gray day but the clarity and color of the scrub was very striking.
