'Moonlit Dunes' 5x7 pastelI don't know if I can really consider this painting a plein air. I painted it while outside looking at the dunes but I made it into a nocturne. I wondered what these dunes might look light under a full moon and I painted in part from my imagination. I had fun no matter how you might classify the painting!

I saw your great collage in WC and this one is the one I love the most. I'm of the idea that PA painting is not just what you see but about the emotions the place brings in you.
