'Autumn Prelude' 8x10 pastelI had the most enjoyable day today! I had two wonderful ladies come over from Asheville to take a private introductory lesson to pastels. We spent the day going over the basics of supplies and pastel techniques. They were able to paint 4-5 paintings each, with each painting working on a different concept. They did some wonderful work and it was such a pleasure sharing with them. I look forward to following their progress and will hopefully have them back in the Fall! Thank you!!!
This is one of my demo paintings from today. It is 8x10 on wallis with a Nupastel underpainting.

I love your marsh paintings, Karen; the colors you used in this one are wonderful.
I really like this painting. Even though I teach pastels, I would have loved to have been a student in your class today. I know I would learn some wonderful new things.
