Fun with the First Coast Pastel Society

The sky was amazing all weekend and so were the artists of the First Coast Pastel Society! I was honored to be the judge of their Members exhibition in Ponte Vedre Beach, Florida. Wow! I was blown away by the paintings! It was such a challenge to be limited to only 9 awards. So many others deserved recognition. It was a tough job! In the end my choice for Best of Show was also the people's choice so I think we all agreed! Congratulations to all of the artists who entered! Remember that your real reward is becoming the best artist possible!

I also had the honor of teaching a 4 hour workshop on skies. I wish we had more time! It was such a fun and talented group and I had so much I wanted to share! I hope to return someday! It was a great weekend and now I am on my way to Iceland! Stay tuned!

What a great idea to have long tables for everyone...Is this the norm? Sure beats having to set up or carry an easel!

Every venue does it differently. Long tables are nice because then the artist has a choice to sit or stand!
