'Waiting for the Ship to Come in' 11x14 pastelToday in class we talked about using color in our paintings and I thought it would be fun to demonstrate my technique by painting a bird. This seagull is my demo painting. I love to watch seagulls and they are so much fun to paint! I showed my students how to get interesting colors by layering and keeping the values in the darks, mid tones and light areas the same. We had fun painting birds and everyone had a nice painting at the end of class.
