I finally painted a scene from my June trip to the Southwest! I took so many photos its a bit overwhelming to choose what to paint! This is a scene from Santa Fe just before sunset. I had researched the best Santa Fe sunset spot and discovered this place Cross of the Martyrs located on a hill near the Plaza. It was a cloudy day so sunset was pretty much a bust but the view over Santa Fe was very cool. This painting is actually the top of the hill looking back behind the overlook. There are some gorgeous homes up here!

The colors are so rich! A delight for the eyes!
This painting has a great feel of the Southwest. The Santa Fe Area is one of my favorite places. You have really captured it.
