A Little Rain and A Lot of Painting

It must be the time change. I'm not on my usual schedule and before I know it it is midnight and I haven't written a blog post! I have also been quite busy. It's been raining the last couple of days so Elinros and I have stayed inside her wonderful studio (with an amazing view) We have been painting up a storm.

In between painting sessions we break for coffee and sweets and a painting dvd. Then it is back to the easel. This is a real treat for me to have so much painting time. And there is nothing better than sharing this time with a good friend who is  just as crazy as I am!

I have been painting from my camera and just looking out the window. I am trying to  soak up the colors and moods of this landscape! Today there is no rain in the forecast so we will take a drive with our pastels and see what we find.

Beautiful paintings. I'd say it's time well spent.

Wow! You're painting up a storm. I love the way you'll find color in bleak, gray landscapes, find ways to punch it up and make it lively while capturing the essence of the scene. The jutting rocks are very solid and rough even in the distance, the sea and grasses flow with unceasing motion and that sense of place is incredible. I love this series!
